The NEW Way To Structure Your Podcast In 2025
Most podcasts aren’t failing because they’re bad.
They’re failing because they’re being structured like it’s still 2017.
Let me show you the podcast structure that’s helping top creators and entrepreneurs turn casual listeners into loyal fans, leads, and paying clients, all without needing to overhaul your entire show.
I just shared this at the Social Media Marketing World conference, and the #1 reaction I heard was: “Wow, I didn’t realize it could be this simple.”
Let’s break down the five-part structure…
What Is the Modcasting Blueprint?
“Modcasting” is short for a module-based approach to podcasting, a method I developed from my background in professional radio. Each module plays a specific role in keeping people listening and moving them toward action.
1. Confirmation Module: Hook People Right Away
The first 30 seconds of your podcast are everything.
With the “TikTokification” of society, people now decide in seconds whether they’ll stick with your content. The Confirmation Module confirms they’re in the right place, but more importantly, it makes them feel like they have to listen right now.
This isn’t just about listing what’s coming up—it’s about making the episode feel urgent and necessary. Done right, it carries people through the whole episode, even if it gets a little slow in the middle.
We want them to keep listening (even if we go off on a tangent in the middle) because they’re so into the topic!
2. Vibe Check Module: Set the Tone for New Listeners
Don’t assume your audience knows you.
The Vibe Check is a fast, friendly welcome to the show. Think of it like saying “Hey, here’s what we do around here” in under 20 seconds. This module is especially important if you’re trying to grow and attract new listeners every week.
Mine is just 9 seconds long. Keep it short and sweet or people will bounce.
3. Core Content Module: Deliver What You Promised
This is the heart of the episode.
Your listener clicked for a reason, because of your topic or title. This is where you deliver that value. Keep it focused and clear, and make sure it lives up to the promise you made at the beginning.
When used alongside the Confirmation Module, this part keeps listeners tuned in longer and more deeply engaged.
4. Conversion Module: Actually Get Leads and Sales
Here’s where most podcasts fall apart.
They might have downloads, even fans, but zero business results.
The Conversion Module is your primary call to action, but so much more. It shouldn’t feel tacked on. Slow down, explain clearly what you want the listener to do, and tie it back to the value you just delivered.
If your CTA feels like a throwaway, your audience will treat it like one too.
5. TSL Module: Keep Them Listening & Grow Your Show
TSL stands for Time Spent Listening, a term from when I worked in radio.
The TSL Module is a bonus piece of content at the end of the episode that stays on the same topic. It gives people a reason to stick around after your CTA and helps with three things:
- It increases full-episode consumption (great for algorithm signals on YouTube)
- It keeps people listening to your Engagement Module
- It becomes repurposable content (like Reels, Shorts, TikToks) to grow your audience
That short extra segment? It’s how I turned one podcast clip into an Instagram Reel that reached over 22,000 people – way more than my follower count. Some of those viewers didn’t even listen to the full episode; they went straight to working with me.
“The TSL module doesn’t just keep people listening longer—it grows your show and drives actual results.”
How The Modules Work Together

Every episode starts with a compelling title – that’s what gets someone to click.
Then we hit them with the Confirmation Module to hook them instantly.
Next is the Vibe Check Module to make new people feel welcome fast.
Then comes your Core Content, your main value delivery.
After that is the Conversion Module, getting them to take action.
And finally, you drop the TSL Module to keep them engaged to the end, and reach even more people later on social media.
Each part of this system flows into the next and is designed to maximize attention, conversions, and growth.

Final Thoughts
Podcasting in 2025 isn’t about working harder – it’s about structuring smarter.
This five-part Modcasting Blueprint gives you everything you need to hook listeners, keep them engaged, drive action, and grow your show.
Most importantly, it makes your podcast work for your business, rather than your podcast feeling like a job.
